Flexible work options are available, subject to an approved telework agreement; Hybrid work is available for employees residing within the Vancouver, Coast and Mountains (VCM) region and enables employees to telework from their home up to 3 days a week with in office days on Wednesdays and Thursdays. Remote work is available for employees residing outside of the VCM region in one of the approved remote locations in BC listed above. Employees working remotely will have the opportunity to visit the Destination BC office once a quarter.

An eligibility list may be established. PURPOSE OF POSITION
As part of the Destination Management Division, the Co-operative Marketing Partnerships Programs department drives industry engagement through enhanced knowledge of Destination BC's programs and offerings. The Co-operative Marketing Partnerships Program ("Co-op Program") is an application-based program that provides co-operative, consumer-focused marketing and promotional funding to Community Consortiums and Provincial Tourism Experience Sector Organizations in BC.
Reporting directly to the Senior Advisor, Marketing Co-op Partnership Programs, this role provides support to the Co-op Program and acts as a key liaison between Destination BC and the tourism industry to facilitate collaboration and participation in marketing programs. This role works in close partnership with our Global Marketing and Finance teams and requires a high degree of collaboration to support corporate priority initiatives.
SPECIFIC ACCOUNTABILITIES Develops and enhances complex relationships and partnerships between Destination BC, sectors, community consortia and individual businesses. Provides guidance and support to industry partners during the development of consortium and sector-based marketing applications. Provides support and input into the development and ongoing evolution of program application guidelines. Provides support to the evaluation of applications process. Provides project management support and administers all activities within accepted project management standards. Develops and manages all project documentation. Represents Destination BC at conferences, seminars and workshops as required. Plans and coordinates in person and virtual meetings, conferences and events. Liaises with other Destination BC program areas to ensure the flow of information. Provides reporting and tracking of co-operative marketing activities as required. Prepares, monitors and tracks contracts ensuring compliance with established policies. Monitors budgets, prepares month and quarter-end variance reports. Proactively identify and act on opportunities to improve processes. Assists the Senior Advisor and Manager, Co-op Marketing Programs, with quarterly financial reporting. Other related duties as required. JOB REQUIREMENTS Diploma in marketing or business and a minimum 3 years' experience in a tourism related field. Minimum 2 years' experience partner relations development and maintenance. Minimum 2 years' experience in planning and organizing meetings, conferences and events. Knowledge of project management and change management principles. Proven experience developing contracts and contractor relationship management. Proven experience managing and reporting on budgets. Demonstrated experience in preparing written reports; and presentations. Demonstrated experience in desktop applications including spreadsheets, database maintenance, presentation software and word-processing. Experience using SAP, Salesforce or an Information Management System will be considered an asset.
