Admissions Officer (Domestic) Brisbane CBD, Brisbane, Australia About the role Navitas; Careers and Industry Division is seeking a Domestic Admissions Officer to assess student applications for study, where you will provide input on admissions processes, quantify the quality of student applications, and work collaboratively with the Student Recruitment team to secure student enrolments across our national campuses.
The successful candidate will need previous experience working in admissions, plus exceptional communication and administrative skills.
This role will work in collaboration with the Navitas Careers & Industry Student Recruitment team, the applicant, and their agents (where applicable) with the intention of providing high levels of service, high attention to detail and accuracy when processing all paperwork, resulting in successful offers and enrolments to domestic applicants.
This role supports a team working in a busy and diverse environment and will require a collaborative attitude and strong organisation skills.
Key responsibilities will include but not be limited to: Assess applications for domestic students and process letters of offer and confirmations of enrolment within agreed turnaround times.
Maintain knowledge and respond to student enquiries on course entry requirements and admission programs, alternative entry and pathway courses for applicants.
Maintain the accuracy of student records across all systems and issuing documents in a timely and accurate manner.
Demonstrated knowledge of legislative framework, ensuring and maintaining complete regulatory and corporate policy compliance throughout the process.
Maintain and upkeep the recognition of prior learning application system.
Collaboratively assess and shortlist student scholarship applications.
To be successful in this role, the ideal candidate will have: Excellent administrative, time-management, and organisational skills with a high level of attention to detail and commitment to quality.
1-2 years' experience working in an education admissions or student administration environment.
Customer-focused and able to deliver a high level of service to internal and external stakeholders.
A passion for compliance, adhering to company processes, as well as the guidelines of external accrediting bodies.
Proven ability to provide effective analytical and problem solving skills with a solution driven attitude.
A drive to push past the obvious and investigate with a thorough eye, considering outside the box solutions that are mutually beneficial to our students and the business.
Strong personal drive and self-motivation.
Ability to communicate professionally and effectively with all levels within the organisation.
Ability to work as part of a team as well as independently.
Experience in Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook, and CRM databases.
