About the role
Working as a part of the Corporate Team, the Administration Assistant will be all-rounder, with a broad range of duties. The role would suit someone interested in variety in their work day, and who likes to work in a private sector environment.
The position is full-time, working 5 days a week in the eWater office in Bruce, ACT.
Responsibilities include
Organising and being primary point of contact for deliveries and service/maintenance activities;
Maintaining the Telstra mobile account, keeping records of data plans and phones, arrange purchase of new and replacement phones as required;
Effectively using MS Office Suite products (including Outlook, Word, Excel and Powerpoint) in day to day work, as well as other software tools in the HR, finance and project management areas;
Coordinating travel arrangements for eWater personnel, including international travel and accommodation; maintaining accurate records of same and complying with procedures at all steps;
Participating in the development, implementation and evaluation of efficient and effective work systems;
Assisting with compliance and other reporting, including collation of documents, filling in forms, drafting responses;
Providing support and assistance to HR, Communications and Finance functions within the corporate team. This is ad-hoc across a broad range of responsibilities such as on-boarding new starters, organising training and development for staff, drafting presentation decks with Powerpoint, drafting internal communications, generating monthly HR reports, support invoice processing and credit card reconciliations.
Other
Act as head fire warden, maintain a current first aid certificate and ensure all areas have a fire warden and first aid officer;
Maintain monthly workplace audits of health and safety and keep relevant registers updated.
Maintaining office supplies, appearance and kitchen cleanliness and liaising with external oganisations to organise cleaning and maintenance.
Manage own work-flow by negotiating and confirming work priorities for work completion in consideration of the needs of other officers.
Ensure personal time management skills and prioritisation of tasks as demands arise and with competing priorities.
Adhere to all eWL policies and procedures, as amended from time to time;
Work collaboratively within a small team, and with broader eWater staff;

Qualifications and Experience
Diploma/Degree and/or minimum 3 years experience in office administration and support;
Knowledge
Demonstrated knowledge and ability to use a range of computer applications including proficiency in MS Office, including Word, Excel, Powerpoint and Outlook;
Skills:
High level interpersonal and oral communication skills and an ability to establish and maintain effective partnerships with internal and external colleagues and clients;
Excellent written communications skills, with ability to draft and review written communications/materials with exceptional attention to detail;
Planning and problem-solving skills with the ability to develop practical solutions using a collaborative approach;
Efficient and accurate data entry skills.
Demonstrated ability to manage competing priorities and meet deadlines;
Demonstrated ability to effectively and efficiently perform routine office duties
Demonstrated understanding of, and commitment to the implementation of equity and workplace health and safety principles;
