We are now seeking an experienced Law Clerk / Legal Assistant to join us in the role of Administrator, Legal and provide a high level of support to the Chief Legal Officer, Legal Team and wider organisation.
Reporting to the Tenement Manager, key accountabilities include:
Coordinate and support meetings, drafting agendas, compiling and distributing high quality minutes; Conduct legal research in areas such as contract law, mining law, corporate law, native title law, land law, employment law and administrative law; Provide general administrative support to the Legal team and other related departments as required; Draft notices related to agreements, coordinate execution of forms and agreements with internal and external stakeholders; Review, interpret and summarise legal agreements for management and executives; Assist with coordination of documentation retention optimisation project and support the implementation of a Legal software solution; Raise purchase orders, review invoices and process as required; and Build effective relationships with various stakeholders and work as part of a highly effective and busy team. Your Experience We are seeking an experienced Law Clerk / Legal Administrator who thrives in a busy environment, is highly motivated and results orientated.
Additionally, you will bring;
Previous experience in a similar role with the ability to interpret relevant legislation and work within internal processes and approvals; Sound understanding of contractual and legal terminology; Exceptional time management and communication skills; Advanced skills in MS Office suite; Relevant degree or experience, business administration, land or legal related (desirable); Knowledge of relevant Mining Act and Regulations, Aboriginal Heritage Acts and DEMIRS requirements (desirable); and National Police Clearance obtained within the last two months.
