Human Resources Officer
Full-time Temporary with a Possibility of Permanency Details: The Human Resources Officer is responsible for the delivery of operational people services, such as position occupancy management, recruitment, assisting teams with the onboarding and offboarding of staff, learning and development support, and relevant reporting at ACT Courts and Tribunal (ACTCT). The Human Resources Officer will assist the Assistant Director, Human Resources and the Directorate's People and Workplace Strategy (PWS) team with complex human resource matters.
The Human Resources Officer, under the supervision of the Assistant Director, Human Resources, will support the implementation of strategic human resource initiatives and provide technical advice to staff on human resource matters in line with the relevant Enterprise Agreements and legislative requirements. They will undertake a range of operational human resource functions and develop and implement people-related policies and procedures.

Eligibility/Other Requirements:
Qualifications in human resource management (or similar) or equivalent experience are highly desirable. Experience in, or the ability to acquire skills in computer programs and applications including Microsoft Office suite, Records Management, Chris21, and SharePoint. To be eligible for permanent or temporary employment within the ACT Public Service you must be an Australian citizen, a permanent resident, or hold a valid work visa. If an officer no longer holds a visa that permits them to work in Australia, their employment with the ACT Public Service (ACTPS) will be terminated. The successful candidate will be required to undergo a National Criminal History check. This position does not require a Working with Vulnerable People registration. This position does not require a pre-employment medical. Note: This is a temporary position available immediately for a period of up to 12 months with the possibility of permanency. Opportunities for flexible working options could include hybrid working, being a combination of working from home, designated office-based, and FlexiSpace working locations across the ACT and flexible start and finish times. Selection may be based on application and referee reports only. A Merit Pool will be established from this selection process and may be used to fill vacancies over the next 12 months.
