The Opportunity: We are looking for a Customer Relations and Administrative Officer to join our team to administer and update the Australian Medical Association (AMA) List of Medical Services and Fees (AMA Fees List), manage enquiries and provide administrative support to the team.
The AMA publishes the Fees List as an online tool, which is available for free to members and to subscribers and assists medical practitioners in determining their fees.
If you are a confident communicator with strong attention to detail and a passion for customer service, we'd love to hear from you. This role suits a quick learner who has had experience working in the health system, medical insurance or medical billing.
This is an exciting role that will give you an opportunity to work with one of Australia's most influential member-based lobby groups with a strong track record in improving Australia's health system.
The role: You will have job variety and work with a small friendly, committed and experienced team to:
manage the Fees List inbox, including responding to enquiries via email or phone in relation to the Fees List, Medical Benefits Schedule (MBS), medical billing, subscriptions etc. process subscription payments perform data entry tasks with accuracy and attention to detail ensure all relevant materials are accurately recorded and maintained in the record management system assist with updating and maintaining the fees list product administer user licenses for the usage of the fees list product provide a range of general administration support provide exceptional customer service and maintain positive relationships with clients On the job training and support will be provided to help you learn the fees list product.
You will work out of AMA's office in Barton - car parking provided. Flexible work arrangements including Work from Home and other benefits are on offer.
What it Takes: Ideally, you have knowledge of the MBS, a strong attention to detail and adapt quickly, are a self-starter and can work autonomously.
Having a drive to continuously learn on the job is critical.
You will also have:
strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to interact confidently with customers and team members excellent administrative and customer support skills strong numerical and data skills, including attention to detail proven experience in customer service, with a client focused approach ability to prioritise work and manage time efficiently proficiency in data entry and database management medium to advanced skills in Microsoft Office 365 apps - particularly word and excel illustrated comprehension and analytical skills ability to build collaborative working relationships To apply for this role please submit a cover letter addressing the selection criteria and an up-to-date resume through SEEK.
