Full-time, 2-year fixed term contract
Base Salary $72,000 - $82,000 + 11.5% superannuation.

About the opportunity
The Administrative Officer (Finance and HR) will provide a wide range of financial, HR and operational support to the Centre.
In this role, you will be the point of contact to assist staff and external stakeholders with general enquiries related to HR, finance, building facilities, meeting coordination and travel bookings.
This is a great opportunity to utilise your administrative experience and judgement to problem solve and provide advice on policy and procedures for the delivery of work outcomes.
Reporting to the Finance Manager, your key responsibilities will be to:
provide general administrative services and operational support to the Centre
assist in maintaining accurate and organised financial records
assist with procurement, credit card reconciliation, billing, accounts receivable and accounts payable processes
assist with the preparation of General Ledger reconciliations processing of monthly and yearly journals
assist in preparing employment, affiliation and contractor agreements, variations and casual academic schedules
assist in recruitment, onboarding and offboarding process for employees, non-resident fellows, volunteers and other affiliate positions
assist in drafting grant, sponsorship, partnership agreements
ensure the appropriate coordination of WHS inductions.
About you:
relevant qualification in HR and/or Finance or experience gained through any combination of education, training, and experience
excellent verbal and written communication skills, with experience in managing a wide range of enquiries and providing excellent customer service
ability to work both independently and as part of a team, taking initiative and exercising sound judgement in resolving matters that may arise as part of normal daily work.
attention to detail with the ability to quickly spot and correct oversights and inconsistencies
critical thinking skills with the ability to exercise judgement and prioritise workload during busy periods
working knowledge of higher education institutions and think tanks desirable.
