Administrative Officer - Crescent Lagoon State School, EducationDepartment of Education QLD – Rockhampton QLD
Crescent Lagoon State School is seeking an enthusiastic and organized School Administrative Officer to join our team. The ideal candidate will possess a passion for supporting school operations and the ability to create a welcoming environment for students, staff, and the school community. This essential role supports the smooth running of the school by providing a wide range of day-to-day administrative and support services.
Working closely with the Principal, Deputy Principal, and Business Manager, you will be the first point of contact for the school, representing us with professionalism, empathy, and a helpful attitude. The ideal candidate will be highly organized, detail-oriented, and capable of working independently. This is a temporary part-time position (0.83FTE), 30 hours per week.
About the Role Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
Administrative and support services - reception duties (answer phones and face-to-face queries), scheduling appointments, managing correspondence, and maintaining school records (e.g., student enrolments).Student and staff support.Financial Administration - processing financial transactions, managing receipting, etc.Documentation and Communication - preparation of meeting minutes, policy documents, and other documents. Draft correspondence, with guidance, for non-routine communication.About You Our ideal candidate would possess the following attributes:
Demonstrated high level of communication skills.Proven ability to work independently and harmoniously within a team environment to achieve quality outcomes.Superior time management skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks and priorities.Ability to use professional discretion.Previous experience relevant to the role.Experience in the use of OneSchool and IDAttend, or the ability to quickly acquire these skills.It would be advantageous if the candidate had:
Previous experience in a Queensland school setting.Interested?
