Administrative Assistant – Professional Services St Leonards Permanent Role – Full Time Salary: $80,000 + Super Hybrid Cox Purtell is currently working with a peak body association representing healthcare practitioners nationally in Australia.
They're a member organisation with branches in every state and territory, and their main aim is to support members by enhancing their ability to provide safe, high quality professional health care.
They're now looking to hire an experienced and skilled administration professional to join their wider Advocacy, Media and Professional Services team, and the main focus of this role is to take the lead in co-ordinating departmental projects, providing secretarial support to the Associations' Federal Council, Executive, Standing Committees and Management, and developing and maintaining relevant databases.
In this role you will also respond to member enquiries within expected time frames and service standards.
The successful candidate will have experience providing project-based administrative support, and experience coordinating a committee or stakeholder group, and be experienced in drafting professional briefing papers and minutes or similar complex writing.
Main areas of responsibility include: Lead and manage the logistics functions associated with Committee meetings Ensure the timely and effective provision of secretarial support to Committees Be the key conduit between Committee members and the organisation Provide occasional assistance and input to the development of submissions, briefings, and advocacy activities Lead the preparation of reports, presentations, and other correspondence Contribute to the projects and provision of services led by the Membership and Professional Services team as required Develop and maintain relevant databases, records and filing systems Respond to member enquiries within expected time frames and service standards Your Profile: The successful candidate will be passionate about pursuing a career in administration, and hold a minimum of 2 years' experience in an administrative position, ideally in the not for profit or healthcare sector.
Proactive approach, with a willingness to use initiative to work and address issues.
Strong time management and high attention to detail whilst working to deadlines.
Experience in managing a committee or stakeholder group Experience in drafting professional briefing papers and minutes or similar complex writing Results oriented and self-driven Professional presentation Excellent written and oral communication skills
