This vacancy is for Permanent Full-Time Appointment. What is our Administrative Assistant role? The Administrative Assistant in the Neurosciences Unit is a key member of a multidisciplinary team, responsible for providing oversight and supervision of the administrative / clerical team and administrative support to our clinical staff, including the Director. In this role, you will oversee and contribute to the administrative management of the Huntington's disease, Young Onset Dementia, Predictive Testing (Genetic Counselling), General Diagnostic and Research programs including processing referrals, booking appointments, maintaining waitlists and sending correspondence to external referrers and patients as required. Within the Unit, you will supervise and provide on the job training for regular and relief clerical staff, and also coordinate the establishment and maintenance of office systems, policies, and procedures, recommending and implementing new practices to enhance efficiency. We are looking for individuals with clerical and administrative experience in a complex organisation setting, with proven ability to supervise a small team, and maintain confidentiality and discretion.
