We are recruiting a permanent part-time Administration Assistant to assist with the stamping and registration requirements in our growing retirement villages (RV) conveyancing team. This role can be performed either 3 or 4 days a week, depending on your preference.
Our RV practice is the most successful in Australia and continues to grow from strength to strength, working with the largest retirement village owners and operators nationally. As part of Australia's leading RV team you will have the opportunity to work in a booming and interesting area of law while being well supported with state of the art technology and systems.
Your roleOur RV conveyancing team is comprised of high-performing senior lawyers, lawyers, paralegals, team administrators and registration clerks.
Some of your responsibilities will include:
attending to registration of land registry documents for each statemaintaining strong communication channels with the registration clerk team to ensure efficient file preparation for lodgementstamping dutiable documents as a self-assessor for the State Revenue offices in each state and arranging payment of duty where applicablepreparing letters and sending registered documents to clients and residentsliaising with the paralegal team to prepare files for lodgementensuring that all land registry documents are correctly filed and registered in accordance with each state's regulationscontinuously monitoring and improving the stamping and registration process to increase efficiency and accuracysupporting lawyers with ad hoc requests.What you needTo be successful in this role, you will need to enjoy working as part of a team and possess the following attributes:
