THE OPPORTUNITY As an Administrative Assistant, you will play a crucial role in the Public Markets team, driving efficiency and effectiveness by handling a wide range of administrative tasks for a professional team. You will offer world-class administrative support to the Public Markets department and Senior Managing Directors, making a significant impact in the organization.
BCI takes pride in its Administrative Network, which brings together administrative professionals from all departments, including over 45 admins from our global offices. WHO YOU WILL WORK WITH The Public Markets department focuses on global strategies and cross-asset capabilities to create client value. The diverse team of experts in equities, derivatives, trading, ESG integration, fixed income and foreign exchange and more, collaborate for innovative investments and portfolio management.
You will be part of the Public Markets Administration team, acting as the main link between Public Markets and internal partners. In this dynamic role, you will contribute to the team's success by facilitating effective communication, streamlining processes, and ensuring the smooth functioning of day-to-day operations.
WHAT YOU GET TO DO You will have the opportunity to showcase your organizational and communication skills by coordinating meetings, travel arrangements, and onboarding processes. You will play a crucial part in streamlining operations and fostering collaboration within the Public Markets Team.
Experience scheduling diverse meetings, calls, and video conferences for the Senior Managing Directors in Public Markets, skillfully navigating multiple time zones and participants Engage with assistants across departments and offices, ensuring smooth coordination for all participants Master the art of arranging complex international and domestic travel plans, including crafting itineraries, booking flights, hotels, and travel visas Hone your financial skills by reconciling monthly department travel spending and expenses through claims and credit card reconciliations Organize events for the department, including department-wide meetings and social get-togethers Cross training for invoice and legal invoice processing Back up administrative support for the Manager, Public Markets Play a key role in welcoming new employees and co-ops to the Public Markets Team through effective onboarding support WHERE YOU WILL WORK Work from our downtown Victoria office. We are an in-person collaborative organization with the flexibility to work remotely 1-day a week. SALARY RANGE BCI offers a competitive total rewards package which includes a performance-based incentive plan, comprehensive health & dental benefits, a defined benefit pension plan and paid time off.
The annualized base salary range for this Victoria-based role is CAD $ 56,000 to $ 65,000.
The base salary offered to the successful candidate will consider a wide array of factors including but not limited to the individual's skill set, level of experience applicable to the role they are being offered and consideration to internal equity.
We pay our people competitively in the markets in which we compete for talent and with consideration to internal equity and job structure. We aim for actual pay to be around the median of the market for target or expected levels of performance, and around the upper quartile of the market for excellent performance.
Actual salaries may vary and may be above or below the range based on various factors, including, but not limited to, experience and expertise.
