About the role Mater Private Hospital Rockhampton is seeking a Senior Administration Officer to join the team in a casual capacity.
The core function of the role is to provide administration support and co-ordination proactively and autonomously in the delivery of excellent health care services.
This role will be responsible for supporting the management of resources to meet business needs and growth.
Key Responsibilities: Perform administrative functions as required including updating hospital information systems with accurate patient information, development of reports and other correspondence.Process, coordinate and schedule referrals from the public health system.Work closely with clinical staff and VMOs in scheduling of public health referrals.Maintain currency of patient management systems, electronic or hardcopy, to include, but not limited to, patient details, diagnostic related grouping, hospitalisation status and location in the appropriate systems.Undertake financial viability checks and facilitate the collection and coding of expense invoices relating to public health referrals.Invoice coding and supporting month-end processes.About you To be successful with your application, you will have:
Previous experience in a similar role within a healthcare environment will be advantageous.Experience in the coordination of services.Proficient in written and interpersonal communication.High level digital and computer literacy (including Microsoft Office).Knowledge of/or the ability to learn hospital computer database programs and Health Information Systems.Ability to function individually and compatibly with team members of diverse clinical and experiential backgrounds.Mater is Queensland's largest and most innovative not-for-profit healthcare service, providing care for almost 700,000 patients a year across a network of 11 hospitals.
