About us:

Central Queensland Public Health Unit (CQPHU) consists of a multidisciplinary team of staff including Public Health Physicians, Public Health Nurses, Environmental Health officers, Epidemiologists, Data Officer and business services staff, including some with region wide roles. CQPHU covers both Central Queensland Hospital and Health Service (CQHHS) and Central West Hospital and Health Services (CWHHS).

About the role:

To deliver efficient and effective administrative support to a multidisciplinary team consisting of Medical Officers, Public Health Nurses and Environmental Health Officers and Epidemiologists within the Central Queensland Public Health Unit. This role is responsible for fielding a broad range of telephone, email and face-to-face enquiries from consumers, members of the public, vaccine service providers, business and industry representatives, and directing these to appropriate clinicians within the unit whilst undertaking core business and administrative functions for the unit.

About you:

While not mandatory, relevant experience in a similar role, or a relevant qualification would be well regarded.Effective interpersonal communication and negotiation skills, when dealing with the public and corporate clients, as well as working within a multidisciplinary team.Ability to provide efficient, effective and accurate secretarial and administrative support and perform allocated duties, particularly concerning matters of a confidential or sensitive nature and with minimum supervision.Demonstrated computing competence with particular expertise in the use and application of email, word processing, spreadsheet, database and financial systems.What we offer:
