The Travel Office is located at 92 Bolsover Street Rockhampton. The primary accountability of the Travel Office is to coordinate the travel and accommodation for patients and staff for the Central Queensland Hospital and Health Service (CQHHS).
About the role:
Support the management and coordination of the activities of the Travel Office in the most cost effective and efficient manner in accordance with Central Queensland Hospital and Health Service (CQHHS) and Queensland Health Policies. Provide advice to clients about booking options and arrange, coordinate and process accommodation, including amendments and non-standard accommodation requests as required. Recognise and investigate complex applications in preparation for the Director, Medical Services assessment. This may involve liaising with General Practitioners (GP), service providers, patients, carers, staff members or key patient or staff travel stakeholders. Exercise sound judgement and analytical skills when booking travel to ensure avoidable fees are prevented, saving opportunities are optimised and compliance with Queensland Health travel policies and Patient Travel Subsidy Scheme is adhered to. About you:
Knowledge or the ability to rapidly acquire knowledge in relation to administrative and approval procedures in a travel environment including cost effective travel arrangements for patients and staff in accordance with Queensland Health policies and guidelines. Demonstrated skills, or the ability to rapidly acquire skills, in the use of information systems and databases, including knowledge of accounts processing and compliance issues as they relate to staff and patient travel. Sound written and oral communication, negotiation and consultation skills, and the ability to liaise with a broad range of client groups. Demonstrated ability to operate autonomously as an effective member of a team, maintaining an effective workflow in an environment of deadlines, competing and changing priorities. What we offer:
