The role ALS Geochemistry is seeking an Administration Officer to support the operations of a fast-paced minerals preparation and analytical laboratory.
Based in Kalgoorlie , this is a Full-Time position, and the role's primary function is administration assistance utilising MS Office suite products and the company's Laboratory Information Management System (LIMS).
However, the successful applicant will be required to undertake other duties as required and within their capabilities.
The successful applicant will be required to work Monday to Friday between business hours of 8 am to 5 pm , with some flexibility on start times.
Free parking is also available on-site.
Reporting to the Operations Manager duties will include: Greet and support clients' needs by leveraging phone and email professionally to support client enquiries Assist the Laboratory team in daily administration tasks Follow up on client invoice queries Data entry and general filing duties Support laboratory team needs, including managing roster and liaising with courier companies (bookings and receiving) End-of-month account reconciliation Basic accounts duties auditing invoice accuracy against client-issued quotations Provide back-up reception relief, as required Assisting with recruitment, including new starter onboarding and paperwork This is a residential role, and you must be residing or planning on relocating to the Kalgoorlie Boulder Region with current Australian work rights to be considered.
The essentials Good alpha/numeric skills Strong language skills and the ability to communicate effectively with internal and external client Strong computer skills, and experience with the MS Office suite Strong attention to detail with a proven ability to collect, interpret and manage data efficiently and accurately A proven ability to retain large amounts of information is essential A hands-on attitude to a variety of tasks Customer service experience or aptitude Well presented with a friendly team manner Pronto experience is highly regarded Working at ALS Our people drive our success at ALS.
