Your new role
Rockhampton Regional Council is seeking an Administration Officer to join their Fleet Services team at the Rockhampton depot. In this exciting and varied role, you will support the unit with general administration relating to timesheets, purchasing, work orders, record keeping, reporting, data entry and more. Using your outstanding customer service and communication skills, you will liaise with internal customers and the workshop staff to schedule and book a range of services and maintenance.

This position requires the completion of a satisfactory Criminal History Check - Police Certificate (Australia Wide Name Only Police Check).
What we are looking for
General administration and finance experience
Knowledge or interest in Mechanics is highly desirable
Time management and organisational skills to manage competing priorities
Strong attention to detail and ability to proactively initiate and complete tasks within a team
Ability to learn new tasks and systems rapidly

Application Criteria
Experience working in a busy administrative environment (workshop admin experience desirable) and familiar with Microsoft Suite and financial systems for purchasing, cost management and reporting.
Good communication (oral and written) and interpersonal skills with a focus on quality customer service.
Time management, planning and organisational skills with proven ability to complete tasks efficiently and with a high degree of accuracy.
