Endeavour Christian College is an independent, non-denominational Christian College located at Cooktown, in far north Queensland. Established in 2012, the College is one of 14 schools operated by Christian Community Ministries Ltd. The mission of Endeavour Christian College is to provide Christ-centred schooling in an atmosphere of love, respect, peace and discipline which will encourage students to achieve their full potential for God.
The College is seeking applications for an experienced Administration Officer. Suitable applicants must align with the College faith, values and ethos and be competent in using a range of software programs such as: Microsoft Office 365 (full suite) and be willing to learn other platforms and data-based systems as required. It would be advantageous if the applicant has previously worked in administration, such as reception, finance receipting, sales, ordering and catering, marketing, or communications. Previous employment in school education would also be an advantage.
This is a permanent part-time position (.6 FTE) commencing as soon as possible. With future enrolment growth, there is potential for the position to become full-time.
Terms and conditions of employment are as per the Christian Community Ministries Schools Enterprise Agreement 2024.
Desirable qualities and skills required:
Administration / office background with qualifications and industry experience relevant to the position. Ability to carry out administrative tasks and be willing to learn new College systems and processes. Demonstrates an ability to work in a team environment and also work alone as required in a safe manner. Must have strong communication skills. Demonstrated computer skills and experience in using Microsoft Office 365 Suite. Possess a current driver's licence. Must hold or be eligible to obtain a "Working with Children" Blue Card (this can be arranged through the College prior to commencement). Personal Characteristics:
