Please note travel between these facilities will be required.Directorate Infrastructure ServicesSection Water and WasteReports to Manager, Water and WasteAnnual Salary Band $76,724.00 - $83,218.00Classification Level 3, Mount Isa City Council Certified Agreement 2018Engagement Type Full-Time, OngoingPOSITION OBJECTIVEThis position is to ensure Council reporting responsibilities comply with regulatory requirements and internal policies in relation to Water and Sewer and to provide administrative support to Council's Water and Sewer field staff. This position has the additional responsibility of monitoring and collating annual data and results for Water and Wastewater regulatory reports which are required to be published and submitted to the Department of Energy and Water Supply (the Regulator).POSITION REQUIREMENTSDemonstrated high level experience in an Administrative Officer role and or similar with high level computing ability.Sound knowledge of Utility Service activities and understanding of Local Government processes or willingness to obtain.High level of written and verbal communication skills and the ability to build and maintain relationships with internal and external customers.Hold a current driver's licence and General Construction Induction QLD (White Card) advantageous.KEY RESPONSIBILITIESThis position is responsible for the following areas and includes but is not limited to:Responsible for the administration and monthly reporting of the Water and Sewer Management department.Assist Supervisors of Water and Sewer in recording/purchasing of parts and fittings.Manage the calendar of Manager, Water and Sewer as well as the Supervisors to organise meetings and inform staff of whereabouts.Review and facilitate compliance with regulatory requirements for water and sewer operations.Responsible for preparation and management of Water and Sewer performance reporting to Department of Energy and Water Supply.Out of ordinary hours work may be required.You are required to follow any other lawful and reasonable directives provided by your Supervisor or more senior officer.KEY PERFORMANCE INDICATORSAll assigned tasks completed satisfactorily and on time.Regular and systematic performance reporting to the Manager, Water and Sewer, evidenced through the completion of projects within agreed timeframes and budget (if applicable).High level of participation and commitment to team outcomes including consistent vigilance over the overall duties/tasks and performance of the section.Effectively process customer complaints ensuring compliance with Council's Policy and Procedure.WORK HEALTH AND SAFETYAll employees of Council have an obligation to comply with Work Health and Safety legislation including Council's Work Health policies, procedures, and work instructions.WHAT'S IN IT FOR YOU?When joining Mount Isa City Council, you are provided with pathways and opportunities to grow and achieve your potential.
