About the opportunity John Fawkner Private Hospital is seeking an experienced Administration Officer to join our Emergency Department on a part-time basis. You will play a key role working within our supportive team to ensure our patients have a positive experience during their care. This role requires you to be available to work weekend night shifts.
John Fawkner Private Hospital is a fully accredited 186-bed acute care facility providing a comprehensive range of surgical, medical, cancer, and critical care services. As an Administration Officer, your responsibilities will include: Handle various administrative tasks including:Answer and redirect callsOrganise appointments and prepare admission paperworkConduct follow-up requests and make reminder calls for visitsMaintain accurate record management and prepare medical recordsCollect co-payments and excess feesCollaborate with staff across various departmentsPerform clerical tasks including data entry and filingMinimum Requirements: Authority to Work in AustraliaMinimum 1 year of medical administration or reception experience requiredExceptional interpersonal and communication skillsProficient in Medical Software (i.e., WebPAS)Strong organisational skills with the ability to prioritise tasksStrong attention to detailExperience in MS Office (Outlook, Word, and Excel)Healthscope, where career means more!
