In this role, you will perform a range of high-level administrative duties to support the efficient and effective running of the Transition to Work Employment Program.
Mission Australia's Transition to Work works with young people aged 15-24 who have left school early, or who are having difficulty finding employment.
We help young people to develop the skills and confidence they need to move into work or ongoing education, and we provide no-cost employment services for employers looking to recruit young workers.
The role is the first point of contact for participants visiting the service and is also responsible for office management including high-level admin support to the Program Manager.
Your key responsibilities will be to: Manage the reception/front office area, taking calls, handling enquiries and greeting guests Provide administrative support to the Program Manager and the team as requested, including fleet management, arranging travel, work health and safety.
Complete processing of accounts payable and other financial transactions as required Complete a range of complex administration tasks as required including registers, spreadsheets, memos, minutes and Program compliance tasks.
Requirements for Success: Demonstrated experience in an administrative role and or office management role Relevant qualifications (e.g.
Certificate in Business Administration) -highly regarded Experience managing accounts payable is highly desirable Competent in using computer packages such as Microsoft Office and financial systems Experience working in a complex, high work volume environment Demonstrated ability to work effectively as part of a team Demonstrated understanding of and sensitivity towards disadvantaged clients including young people.
Current NSW Driver's Licence Before starting work with us, you will need to undertake a national police history check, qualifications, and referee checks, and have a clearance to work with children/vulnerable people.
