We are seeking an experienced and dynamic Administration Assistant to join our high performing, engaged and supportive team at St Basil's Homes (SA) in either a full time OR part time capacity (Flexible working arrangements available including but not limited to school hours, negotiable start and finish times).
Delivering exceptional customer service, you will build strong relationships with our Leadership team, Corporate team, front line staff, as well as our families and residents.
Experienced in administration and customer service, you will have the opportunity to be part of a multi-disciplinary team, committed to building a culture of continuous improvement in the workplace. This is a dynamic role where attention to detail and the ability to prioritise and organise your day is key to your ongoing success. You'll be supported and coached, and will have the opportunity for involvement in projects and to support our Workforce Team across some HR functions, which may include:
Recruitment & Onboarding (job postings, interviewing, hiring, and onboarding new employees) Learning & Development (coordinating training in line with our St Basil's annual training plan) Rostering (including managing workforce gaps, agency and overtime) Student Placements Volunteer Administration Compliance (with all relevant employment laws, regulations, and Aged Care Standards, including National Police Certificates, VISA compliance with Home Affairs). This role will give you an opportunity to apply what you know as an experienced administrator, as well as learn new functions where appropriate and aligned with your career development. We don't expect you to know everything, but we are seeking someone with exceptional customer service, attention to detail, and someone who is eager to learn and be versatile and supportive within our high performing Workforce and Administrative team.
What you'll need to succeed:
This role is ideal for someone with experience in reception, administration or a similar customer service type role, who demonstrates initiative, a positive "can-do" attitude, and a strong motivation to be part of a team. You should have effective communication skills to interact with various internal and external stakeholders, as well as:
Demonstrated personal values that align with St Basil's Homes (SA) values of courtesy and kindness 2 to 5 years of experience in Administration Previous experience working with MS office and the aptitude to learn new systems quickly Excellent interpersonal and communication skills; listening, written and verbal Ability to handle sensitive and confidential information with discretion. Strong organisational and time management skills. Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
