Located in the Brisbane CBD in stunning offices, this organisation is Queensland's economic regulator.
Their primary function is to assist in preventing monopoly businesses from inappropriately using their market power.
Businesses they regulate are those that operate vital infrastructure in Queensland including railways, ports, water and energy.
As a team of just over 40 employees, they have a strong history of retention within the business and a savvy leadership team who have decades of experience.
Your Role As the Administration & Facilities Support Officer, your role is integral to ensuring the effective delivery and management of administration and facilities support activities.
You will add value through coordinating and maintaining company facilities and travel coordination, reception and backup assistance to finance and IT to ensure the smooth operation of administration and facilities.
This role sits within the Corporate Services Team of 8 and your direct manager is highly approachable with a great sense of humour, as is the Senior Leadership Team.
Reporting to the Manager of Finance and Administration, your role will involve: Overseeing and coordinating facilities-related tasks, including: Maintaining meeting rooms, audiovisual equipment and arranging catering; Ensuring the upkeep of utility areas, equipment, office stationery supplies, managing kitchen facilities and supply inventories; Organising office repairs, equipment maintenance and coordinating car park reservations; Providing reception support for visitors, managing office access and security and handling couriers and deliveries; Coordinating travel for staff including flights, car hire, accommodation and arranging external venues for workshops and events; Planning and coordinating social and learning & development events including venues, materials and catering; Manage the daily updating of the company intranet with news, notices and policies; Providing backup support for payroll and accounts payable duties in the absence of the Finance and Administration Manager (training provided); Providing backup on-site technical support under the guidance of the IT department, remotely directed as needed; Collaborating with the Corporate Services team to assist with the implementation of projects and initiatives, offering administrative support as needed.
About You Suitability for this role will be assessed on your previous relevant experience, potential for development and personal qualities.
Considerations will be formed around how well you demonstrate: Previous experience in a similar role and demonstrated understanding of facilities management; The ability to prioritise, multi-task, manage timeframes and ensure attention to detail; High-level interpersonal and communication skills with the ability to build relationships with colleagues and stakeholders and contribute to the QCA's culture of respect and inclusion; Intermediate skills in Microsoft Office software including word processing and experience with Adobe Acrobat and electronic document management and a general understanding of basic IT systems; The ability to write concisely and clearly; The ability to work both autonomously and as a part of a team, showing initiative and a proactive approach in providing support and solving problems to achieve personal and team objectives.
This role requires an incumbent for 4 days per week (0.8) to work Tuesday to Friday or Monday to Thursday, with a salary range between $59,200 - $65,600 pro ratad +12.75% Super (Full Time Equivalent $74K - $82k FTE + 12.75% Super).
Salary will be determined based on experience.
