We welcome applications from motivated administrators with a background in healthcare, who are keen to work with enthusiasm and commitment in a customer-focused service. Communicating and liaising with staff, doctors, department managers, consumers, carers, and the general public is a significant part of the role.A Snapshot of Your Role:You will provide general administrative support to enable health professionals and medical staff to meet their objectives and deliver services to patients. This role will also require completing health fund checks for all pre-admitted patients, admitting and discharging patients, and arranging patient appointments. There will be opportunities to multi-skill in other administrative duties to cover leave as required, and progression to other hospital roles for suitable candidates.Our Ideal Candidate Will Meet the Following Criteria:Demonstrated experience in data entry and management, record maintenance, and preparation as well as an understanding around requests for information.Well-developed skills in the use of Microsoft applications and other information databases.Knowledge of or an ability to acquire knowledge of WebPAS patient management system and Cyberquery.Have a positive attitude and exceptional customer service skills.Demonstrated experience in greeting patients, processing accounts and payments, answering incoming calls, and assisting with patient enquiries.Possess the capability to work autonomously and as part of a team, work responsibly, and have the ability to meet deadlines and prioritise tasks.Have a strong understanding of privacy and confidentiality requirements in healthcare.Experience as an administrative assistant in a healthcare setting is highly regarded.Experience with Gentu software.Understanding of Medical Terminology will be highly regarded.Proficient in Health Fund eligibility checking and billing.Requirements: As a pre-requisite for this role, successful candidates will be required to provide an up-to-date National Police Clearance and Blue Card.
