State Government Opportunity in Sydney CBD ASAP Start Initial contract until June 2025 with possibility of extension $47 per hour + Super Our State Government client is seeking an Administration and Payments Support Officer to join their team in Sydney CBD. This will be an immediate start role until the end of June 2025, with the possibility of extension.

The Role The Administration and Payments Support Officer plays a crucial role in the Grants Operations team, providing essential administrative support and ensuring the efficient processing of payments related to cultural funding programs.

The role involves (but is not limited to) the following responsibilities:
Assist with preparing and processing grant applications and related documentation in a timely manner. Maintain organised records of grant applications, approvals, and payments. Coordinate and provide timely, specialist technical support to system users, to improve service delivery and outcomes. Facilitate communication between internal teams and external stakeholders regarding funding programs. Schedule meetings, prepare agendas, and take minutes for grant-related discussions. Contribute to briefing notes and project documentation. Complete routine financial transactions and purchasing services, ensuring compliance with agency standards and procedures. Track payment schedules and assist in reconciling accounts related to grant payments. Update databases, generate regular and ad hoc reports, and assist with financial statements. Ensure adherence to organisational policies and support the implementation of best practices in grant administration. About You To be successful in this role, you will possess:
SAP experience is essential. Experience in administrative support or finance, preferably within a grants management context. Familiarity with grant management systems (e.g. smarty grants) and payment processing would be highly desirable. Strong written communication skills and attention to detail. Committed team player able to work well in a fast paced environment. Previous state government experience in payroll or accounts receivable would be beneficial.
