The Administrative Assistant I within the Department of Security responsibilities include, but are not limited to, providing office support: answering the telephone, replying to email inquiries, backup to the Dispatch office, backup the Access Control office, creating reports utilizing the EMS scheduling system, maintaining the bike registration spreadsheets assist with the distribution of decals, and the general organization of the front ideal candidate should have excellent verbal and written communication skills and be very detail-oriented.
Regular working hours are Monday through Friday 8:00 am - 4:30 pm.
Job Responsibilities:Creates daily reports using the EMS scheduling system (Open/Close list).Assignment of bike decals and updating the bike registration tracking for decal registration and the assignment of decals to faculty, staff, and students.Assists with decal delivery preparation.Performs general office support such as sorting/distribution of the mail, copying and faxing documents, and filing.Receives and responds to email correspondence and assists walk-ins with inquiries following departmental established for the for the Access Control duties as assigned.Education:High school diploma or GEDLicensure/Certifications:State of Florida driver's license and maintain a good driving record as defined per Florida Tech Insurance Guidelines-Required.Experience/Skills List:A minimum of two years of related administrative experience, computer knowledge in Microsoft Office, Excel, and Word, and familiarity with our industry is preferred.
