Description About OzHarvest: OzHarvest is a leading food rescue organisation on a mission to 'Nourish our Country' by stopping good food from going to waste and delivering it to charities that help feed people in need. Through our education programs and our advocacy work, we hope to inspire others to change their behaviour and help reach the national target of halving food waste by 2030.
About the role: Are you a dynamic leader with a passion for community engagement and a commitment to making a difference? OzHarvest is looking for an inspiring Adelaide City Manager to cover parental leave for a year. In this pivotal role, you'll oversee our local operations, foster a thriving workplace culture, and spearhead our fundraising and marketing efforts in South Australia. As the Adelaide City Manager, you'll be at the forefront of our mission, guiding a talented team dedicated to reducing food waste and nourishing those in need. You'll collaborate with our national office and local partners to achieve our goals and drive impactful initiatives across the community.
Duration: End of February 2025 - February 2026
Key Responsibilities: General Operations: Cultivate an open, honest, and collaborative team environment. Model exceptional leadership by actively listening, engaging in conversations, and making informed decisions. Oversee budgets and targets while driving a culture of outstanding customer service. Support local projects, volunteer engagement, and team development. Fundraising and Development: Be the face of OzHarvest in Adelaide, nurturing relationships with corporate partners and community members. Develop and expand our fundraising pipeline, creating exciting events and initiatives. Collaborate with teams to grow community engagement activities, including our popular "Cooking for a Cause" program. Marketing and Communications: Work closely with HQ to enhance local communication efforts and raise brand awareness. Identify opportunities to promote the OzHarvest Adelaide brand through various platforms. What We're Looking For: Experience: A minimum of 5 years in management, ideally with 3-4 years in business development, marketing, or fundraising. Skills: Strong leadership, project management, CRM expertise (Salesforce), and excellent communication skills. Knowledge: Understanding of the Adelaide community and corporate landscape, with a commitment to OzHarvest's mission. Personal Attributes: Energetic, proactive, innovative, and empathetic, with a strong customer service approach.
