About the Aged Care Quality and Safety Commission The Aged Care Quality and Safety Commission (the Commission) was formed on 1 January 2019. We work to improve the lives of older people by maintaining the integrity of the aged care system.
As the single independent regulator of Australian Government aged care services, we offer a variety of interesting and challenging jobs across most capital cities.

The opportunity The Commission recognises Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander staff are a key element in the design of our cultural learning and engagement strategies and enables the Commission to actively work towards reconciliation through employment and career pathways.
We have six identified positions across various sections, and we welcome interest from professionals who can bring expertise in a range of areas such as:
AdministrationProject managementPolicy and data analysisDesign, development and delivery of communications products and activities to a wide range of audiences.About the positions APS5 Quality Assessor – Audit The Quality Assessor – Audit will undertake site audits and quality reviews of aged care services, engage with providers to collect information and evidence, follow lines of enquiry, and conduct interviews with staff and older people as required.
APS5 Complaints Officer The purpose of this position is to resolve complaints about aged care providers using a range of techniques including desk-based investigation, conciliation, or service provider resolution. Complaints officers are responsible for making positive improvements for people receiving aged care, their representatives, and service providers.
APS5 Policy Officer The Policy Officer provides administrative and policy support to operational areas for the regulatory functions of the Commission with a focus on ensuring best practice, quality assurance, and continuous improvement in decision-making processes.
APS6 Senior Complaints Officer Senior Complaints Officers use a range of techniques to resolve complaints about aged care providers. This includes undertaking desk-based investigations, conciliation, service provider resolution, or site visits. Senior Complaints Officers analyse and interpret information to identify, assess, escalate, and manage risks.
APS6 Senior Communications Officer – Internal Communications Working within a team of communications professionals, the successful candidate will be responsible for the development, delivery, and evaluation of wide-ranging communications strategies and producing quality content tailored for stakeholders across the Commission.
APS6 Senior Information Officer Senior Information Officers are required to work collaboratively to provide timely and accurate data, information, analysis, intelligence, and reporting to support the strategic purpose of the Commission.
Salary offered will be between $83,048 to $104,883 per annum depending on skills and experience. In addition, 15.4% superannuation will be paid.Only candidates who hold Australian citizenship can apply. Appointment is conditional on successfully completing a national police check.Merit Pool established through this selection process may be used to fill this or future ongoing or non-ongoing vacancies.The filling of this vacancy is intended to constitute an affirmative measure under section 8(1) of the 'Racial Discrimination Act 1975'. This vacancy is only available to Aboriginal and/or Torres Strait Islander people.
