We have a new opportunity for an Accredited Fire Safety Assessor to join our well-established team based in Newcastle. This is a unique role that has the flexibility to work from home as well as onsite, and will suit someone with their FPAS Accreditation, who can achieve compliance with the Annual Fire Safety Statements and Australian Standards with a view to upgrading the services in the future.
Responsibilities will include, but are not limited to: Review current Annual Fire Safety Statements (AFFS)Establish a baseline of current fire safety measures.Identify anomalies for corrective action.Conduct fire safety audits of customer premises.Identify significant fire safety issues.Assist with the preparation of "Stay of Infringement" applications to Council or letter of understanding to request a suitable time frame for an audit to be conducted.Assess customer's premises to determine the standards of installation of fire safety measures as recommended by Council.Provide certification to state that the installation, equipment, and performance of installed and commissioned systems comply with respective codes and standards in-line with approved design.Prepare Fire Safety Statements – AFFS & SFSS as per customer requirements.Prepare yearly condition, defects/non-compliance, and customer reports.Our ideal candidate will have: FPAS AccreditationExperience in report preparation and presentationKnowledge of relevant Australian StandardsNumerical skills and competency in Microsoft Word/ExcelExcellent verbal and written communication skillsWhy Us?
