The role We are looking for an Accounts Receivable Officer to join our growing national firm. Reporting to the Credit Manager, you will be an integral member of our finance delivery team to contribute to our accounts receivable operations to ensure timely and accurate processing of payments and management of outstanding balances with a focus on relationship management at all times.
Located in Adelaide, our finance team services the firm nationally, this role will see you being a brand ambassador of the firm's values of collaboration and collegiality, respect, innovation and dedication through role delivery.
Working with our Credit Manager and key stakeholders, you will be responsible for:
Accounts receivable processes in line with our credit policy; Developing strategies with key stakeholders to ensure the recovery of outstanding debt; Collection calls/communication to a variety of debtors including the management of legal cases; Reconciliations of office bank statements, processing payments and responding to queries; Assisting with digitising our Accounts Receivable processes and reporting. Your helpful team members will help onboard you with our systems and processes. You will bring to our team: 4 years' experience in a similar accounts receivable / credit controller / call centre role (preferably in a professional services environment); Knowledge of trust and credit law and related best practice; A track record of success in maintaining relationships in a collections or sales environment; Proven negotiation skills with sound judgement to make recommended actions; Effective communication skills including confidence and maturity when communicating directly with senior team members and clients; Pro-active, positive and energetic attitude with a professional, 'happy to help' nature; and Organised and efficient, with a keen eye for the detail.
