About the Role
Are you ready to play a pivotal role in the financial operations of a leading construction company? As the Finance Officer, you will be responsible for managing the Accounts Payable and Payroll functions, ensuring timely supplier payments and accurate employee payroll processing. Your work will be critical in maintaining compliance with internal policies and external regulations while supporting the Finance Team in various tasks. This role offers the chance to expand your skills in a dynamic, project-focused environment.

Process and verify supplier invoices, ensuring accuracy and timely approvals. Prepare and manage weekly/monthly payment runs, adhering to financial guidelines. Respond to payroll-related inquiries from employees and provide guidance. Support financial reporting, administrative tasks, and contribute to process improvements. About You!
Ideally, you will have a Certificate IV or Diploma in Accounting, Finance, or a related field, or relevant experience in a similar role. With 2+ years of experience in Accounts Payable and Payroll, you're proficient in payroll software and financial systems, preferably in the construction industry (e.g., Xero, Jobpac). Your strong Excel skills and knowledge of Australian payroll and superannuation regulations set you apart. Experience in the construction or project-based industries is highly desirable, as is a good understanding of award interpretation and employee agreements.
