Your part in our Uniting Care team Manage service delivery and the day-to-day operations of the accounts payable (AP) function, ensuring that applicable policies and procedures are met, and governance and compliance requirements are followed (e.g.
internal controls, GST monitored and processed correctly and cash flow forecasts managed and communicated).
Establish priorities and schedules of main activities.
Review and monitor AP services to identify trends and problem areas, reporting on risks, key performance indicators and implement corrective action and/or recommend new approaches to issues.
Accountable for ensuring appropriate vendor creation and maintenance procedures are in place in accordance with policy and internal control recommendations.
Accountable for the timely and accurate processing of payments to vendors, suppliers, and service providers while monitoring cash flow.
Monitor and track performance against KPIs and SLAs for reporting and performance, and conduct data analysis to help drive continuous improvement and address blockers for achieving service levels.
Align AP function, processes and Roadmap to wider BFS strategy and deliverables.
Review, maintain and update AP related organisational policies and procedures, ensuring AP processes contain control points to uphold business compliance and identify and report instances of non-compliance.
Partner with stakeholders to help drive supplier behaviour for electronic submission of invoices, utilisation of the supplier portal, reduce invoice submission errors, and improve OCR accuracy based on analysis conducted by Accounts Payable Specialist.
Continual focus on process review to achieve a reduction in rework and to drive process development, change and efficiencies in line with best practice.
Accountable for timely internal and external responses and requests for documentation, and identifying and addressing gaps in controls.
Maintain ongoing compliance to eftsure validation process and work with Internal Audit to uphold and tighten process controls.
Maintain internal controls appropriate to ensure effective invoice and payment approvals, segregation of duties and compliance with external audit and statutory taxation obligations.
What makes a difference for us? Significant experience as a Finance, Transactional or Shared Services Manager having led large teams in a multi-entity environment.
Detailed understanding and management of the AP function and end to end P2 P processes, with a deep understanding of upstream business and downstream finance activity as well as digital account payable transformation.
In depth P2 P system knowledge of AP and procurement modules including but not limited to purchase orders, invoices, credit notes, payment processing and vendor master data, and understanding of related configurations such as tolerance limits, payment types and tax codes.
Professional capabilities such as solid business understanding, judgement, critical thinking, commercial acumen and skills in complex problem solving.
Exceptional stakeholder management, natural leadership skills and customer relationship skills.
High level time management skills with the ability to prioritise multiple pieces of work according to importance.
Attention to detail, high-level organisation skills and result-orientated.
Demonstrated change management experience where you have led significant process improvements and initiatives.
Technically savvy with strong analytical skills and a demonstrated ability to work with data, and possesses intermediate to advanced experience using Microsoft Excel.
Ability to research, investigate, analyse and provide practical solutions to AP issues.
Highly motivated, self-driven with a passion to pursue great results, and can inspire those around you.
Strong communication skills and proven experience supporting and developing high performing teams.
Effective people management, relationship building and influencing skills.
