So, what's the role?
We're searching for a dedicated and detail-oriented Accounts Officer to join our Business Services team in a part-time role (three days a week). If you have solid payables and receivables experience, this could be the perfect position.
In this role, you'll manage the company's financial transactions, ensuring the accurate processing of invoices and receipts. Your role will be crucial in maintaining strong relationships both internally and externally, helping us keep our operations as smooth as our ice cream!
Here's what your typical day might look like: Match and process Purchase Orders and invoices Set up new suppliers, while keeping existing information up to date. Process monthly payments and keep our accounts in check. Reconcile creditor statements and be the go-to person for resolving any issues. Manage corporate credit card reconciliations. Handle customer account applications, making new customers feel right at home. Process claims and ensure everything runs smoothly for our customers. Reconcile bank receipts and keep our cash flow flowing. Maintain debtor's ledger by ensuring timely collection of receivables. Keep customer statements and remittances organised and accessible. Here's what we're looking for:
Proven experience in accounts payable and receivable. A genuine knack for customer service. Proficiency in Excel. A self-starter who enjoys taking ownership of projects and gets things done. Excellent time management and prioritisation skills. High attention to detail. Previous experience in a manufacturing environment is advantageous but not a deal-breaker.
