Accounts and Administration Officer needed for a small, family-friendly business located in Glenvale! Must have Xero experience!
Our client, a small family-owned business specialising in steel shed design and construction, is looking for an Accounts and Administration Officer to join their friendly team. This position is ideally full-time, but there is flexibility for the right candidate.
Location: Glenvale
Hours: Monday to Friday, 38 hours preferred, but flexible for the right candidate
Salary: $75,000 - $80,000 + Super
The role will involve responsibilities in Bookkeeping, Accounting, Payroll, and Administration. Experience with Xero accounting is essential, as they are transitioning to the new system and need assistance with the setup. The ideal candidate will possess strong all-around office management skills and experience.
Key Responsibilities Manage accounts emails Oversee Accounts Payable: receipts, invoices, approvals, and creditor payments Handle supplier credit applications Manage Accounts Receivable: invoicing, statutory declarations, project claims, and debt collection Send AR statements Manage cashflow and reporting Maintain the general ledger and perform bank reconciliations Handle business and debtor insurances Complete month-end financial duties Report on stock, WIP, and project costs Manage equipment finance and BAS lodgments (monthly and quarterly) Maintain the asset register and accounts for minor entities In this role, you will process payroll for 5-10 staff members on a fortnightly basis, manage payroll tax, superannuation, and Workcover, and oversee HR inbox and records.
You will also coordinate apprenticeship training and incentive claims, manage uniforms and PPE, and handle general office duties including managing emails, office supplies, and answering phones. Additionally, you will provide reception duties, perform shared kitchen tasks, and address other needs as they arise.
