Accounting Assistant

Job Description We are in search of a Credit Union Accounting Assistant to perform daily accounting tasks that will support our Credit Union Accounting team.
Ultimately, you will help our Credit Union Accounting department run smoothly, ensuring transparency and efficiency in all transactions.

Position Summary The Credit Union Accounting Assistant position requires a high level of attention to detail and excellent written and verbal communication skills.
To thrive in this position, you must have a high level of self-direction and the ability to work and meet strict deadlines without close supervision.
Job Details Work from homeTuesday to Saturday | 6 AM to 3 PM Manila TimeResponsibilities Balance and reconcile general ledgersCheck spreadsheets for accuracyMaintain digital recordsMonitor sub-ledgers for variancesIdentify and research discrepanciesMaintain strict confidentiality in all aspects of the workOther accounting-related tasks, as neededRequirements Work experience in AccountingKnowledge of basic bookkeeping proceduresFamiliarity with finance regulationsGood math skills and the ability to spot numerical errorsProficiency with Microsoft Office 365Mastery of GAAP standardsOrganization skillsAbility to handle sensitive, confidential informationAbility to work as a teamTechnical Requirements Because this is a fully remote position, it requires regular interaction with fellow team members via remote meeting tools (Zoom, Teams, etc.).
It also requires access to reliable high-speed internet and a dedicated workspace free from distraction.
