Paydirt Media Pty Ltd, a leading resources sector publisher and event organiser based in West Perth, requires an Accounting & Administration Assistant to support our accounting, administrative and general office functions.
Primary duties of this role, which reports to the Finance Manager, will include, but not limited to:
Accounts receivable and payable, including daily banking and monthly reconciliations.Debtor management, including handling general customer enquiries.General accounting duties, including assisting with financial report preparation and budgeting.General administrative and office maintenance duties.Ad hoc tasks as assigned by the Finance Manager and/ or the Executive Chairman.Assisting other staff members as and when required. This position will provide the right candidate with the opportunity to gain first-hand experience in the media sector and an exposure to the resources sector, as well as the chance to work within a successful team of dedicated professionals in a friendly working environment. You will not be confined exclusively to an administrative role, as there will be plenty of opportunities to experience the different sections of our business.

The following skills/ qualifications are also essential:
Prior experience in a similar role is desirable.Tertiary qualification in accounting (or studying towards).Competent in Microsoft Office package, particularly Word and Excel.Excellent verbal and written communication skills. Salary package on offer for this full-time position is competitive in line with current employment market conditions (circa $60 - $65,000 + superannuation guarantee p.a. depending on skills and experience), as our Company seeks to support and retain experienced and quality staff. Appropriate internal and external training will also be provided.
