Reporting to the Finance Superintendent, you will engage in a variety of accounting tasks and contribute to month-end activities.
You will also provide targeted financial support for the site and collaborate with the commercial analyst team on ad-hoc projects.DutiesSupport annual budgeting processes and monthly forecast processes with stakeholder engagement.Process month-end accounting activities, including relevant accruals, provisions, allocations, and cost transfers.Manage the end-to-end monthly reporting cycle with detailed analysis.Provide senior management with strategic financial insights for business strategy formulation.Contribute to medium and long-term business planning and identify methods to optimise operational and production cost efficiencies, including productivity measurement.Assist with preparing and updating accounting manuals, policies, and procedures.Provide financial guidance on business decisions and evaluate business cases for capital proposals.Deliver professional financial assessments and recommend strategies to enhance business performance.Requirement to travel to site on a fortnightly basis.Skills and experienceAccounting, finance, commerce, or business degree or equivalent - CPA or CA accreditation will be well regarded.Intermediate/advanced level of Microsoft Excel and Microsoft Power BI proficiency.Exposure to SAP ERP system.Management accountant experience within a medium to large size organisation.Experience preparing monthly cost accounts and forecast reports.Ability to interact with and articulate financial requirements to internal and external stakeholders.About the Company:Roy Hill is a world-class mining company, leading the way through innovative, integrated mining rail and port operations, to export iron ore safely and efficiently from West Australia's Pilbara region.We are a company where people matter.
