Job Description Are you a detail-oriented finance professional looking for a challenging opportunity in the oil & gas sector?
UGL is currently seeking Expressions of Interest for a Project Accountant / Senior Cost Administrator to join our dynamic team, working on a large-scale oil & gas project.
This role is crucial in supporting the Finance Lead, ensuring the financial integrity and accuracy of project data, and driving financial excellence across the project.
This role will be based in the Perth CBD office, and work a Monday to Friday roster.
Key Responsibility Areas Analyze financial data, identify risks/opportunities, and recommend improvements.
Prepare client claims and invoices; manage debtor/creditor aging and forecast working capital.
Maintain contract financial data integrity in SAP.
Prepare budget and forecast reports, manage Work Breakdown Structures (WBS), and monitor cost code allocations.
Analyze cost deviations, provide corrective actions, and issue 'Early Warning' notifications.
Ensure accurate month-end cost reviews and labor cost accounting.
Assist with payroll, PPE, and onboarding queries.
Identify and recommend process improvements.
Ensure compliance with financial policies and procedures.
Promote and adhere to safety policies.
Qualifications & Skills Degree and CPA/CA qualification with 4+ years of experience, OR several years of experience in a similar financial role.
Proficient in SAP or large ERP systems, and advanced Excel skills.
Knowledge of Lump Sum and Schedule of Rates contracts.
Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
Ability to work independently, manage multiple tasks, and meet deadlines.
