SBS Engineering specialises in a variety of sectors in the mining industry inclusive of Fabrication, Projects, Chute Management, Engineering, Design, Drafting, Surface Coatings, Rubber Lining, Shutdowns and Labour Hire.
THE ROLE SBS Engineering is on the hunt for a passionate, motivated and enthusiastic type to join our team in the role of an Accountant.
This position is Full Time and is based in Kalgoorlie WA.
As an Accountant, you will report directly to the Director.
Key Responsibilities Prepare Income Statement, Balance sheet, Cash flow statements, and detailed notesConduct internal auditsAssess and enhance the effectiveness of internal controlsPresent financial documents to managementImplement and manage accounting information systemsAdvise on the proper documentation and retention of financial records in accordance with Australian Accounting Standards and regulatory guidelinesImplement procedures to maintain accurate and organized financial recordsProvide performance-based financial reporting, including company's operational performance and financial healthDevelop and oversee the annual budgeting processMonitor budget performance throughout the fiscal yearImplement cost management strategies specifically tailored to our mining servicesAssist with pricing strategies by conducting market analysis, evaluating service costs, and determining competitive pricing structuresDevelop financial forecasts to support strategic planning and decision-makingAssist management in interpreting data, identifying trends, and recommending strategies to optimize resource allocation, improve efficiency, and achieve organizational goalsTo be successful in this role you will have: Relevant Tertiary qualifications, ideally including both a Bachelor Degree and a Master DegreeMinimum THREE years experience in a similar roleStrong problem-solving skills and the ability to develop innovative solutions to financial challengesOutstanding quality of work, attention to detail and accuracyStrong communication skills (both verbal and written), including the ability to liaise with internal and external stakeholdersDemonstrated ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environmentStrong computer literacyYou will receive a remuneration package starting at $80,000 per annum, determined by your skill and experience level, in return for your hard work, commitment and passion for being part of a successful and thriving business.
