Details of the offer

Full time Reporting to the Director of Finance, the Accountant will provide support and assistance to the finance team to ensure the timely and accurate preparation of monthly financial reports and adherence to the underlying financial processes.
The major day-to-day responsibilities of this position include but are not limited to:
Provide technical support to the finance team as requiredPreparation and input of monthly accounting journalsEnsure the accuracy of data transfer from other software to the accounting softwarePreparation of general ledger reconciliationsMaintenance of the fixed asset registerPreparation of budgets as requiredPreparation, development & distribution of monthly and ad hoc financial reportsAssist the accounts clerks with payroll processing as necessaryUndertake payroll processing during the accounts clerks' leave periodsAssist the Director of Finance to ensure the Finance Department is meeting its deadlines and targetsAny other duties within the scope of the role as directed by the Director of Finance or delegate, including quarter and year-end responsibilitiesSelection Criteria Essential (Including Qualifications) NDIS Experience and knowledge of industry requirementsTertiary qualifications in Accounting, Finance, or a related field2-5 years accounting experienceCPA or CA certification (or working towards it)Proven high-level experience and financial knowledge in applying the SCHADS Award and understanding NDIS pricing structures, systems, and service agreementsStrong communication skills with the ability to communicate with other departmentsProven ability to produce accurate financial reports including data input, general ledger reconciliations, and financial report preparationDemonstrated experience in the use of accounting software packages and its integration with other softwareDemonstrated ability and experience to review Finance operations and develop strategies and innovative approaches to improve its effectivenessAbility to show initiative and strong attention to detail and solve complex issuesAbility to work with limited supervisionMust have full working rights in AustraliaOther requirements NDIS worker Screening Check and Working with Children Check are required prior to commencement in this role #J-18808-Ljbffr
