Your Story with Us We are seeking a proactive and detail-oriented Accountant to join our team.
This role is pivotal in ensuring financial excellence and compliance, supporting both day-to-day operations and strategic initiatives.
You'll work across financial reporting, compliance, payroll, and broader business support.
You'll work across: Core Accounting and Financial Operations Lead monthly payroll operations, ensuring accuracy and timeliness for all employees.
Manage end-to-end financial transactions, ensuring smooth processing and precise record-keeping.
Oversee employee expense approvals and documentation, ensuring compliance with internal policies and accuracy in reporting.
Prepare and manage invoices to partners, ensuring accuracy and alignment with financial agreements.
Perform bank and balance sheet reconciliations to maintain financial accuracy and compliance.
Tax, Compliance, and Governance Support tax submissions and payments, including ATO returns, ensuring adherence to Australian regulatory requirements.
Assist in preparing statutory and compliance-based financial reports, including sustainability-related disclosures if required.
Maintain high standards of record-keeping to support audit and compliance processes.
Financial Planning & Strategic Support Assist in month-end closing to ensure timely, accurate, and compliant financial reporting.
Conduct financial analysis, assist in budgeting and forecasting, and support financial planning processes to inform decision-making.
Contribute to financial modelling and forecasting for capital raising and strategic business initiatives.
Customer & Stakeholder Engagement Manage and enhance financial controls and processes to support organisational growth.
Manage the finance inbox, maintaining strong relationships with customers and responding promptly to inquiries.
Skills and Qualifications: Bachelor's Degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field (or equivalent experience).
Minimum of 3-5 years in accounting or finance roles, with demonstrated expertise in payroll, financial transactions, and compliance reporting.
Proficiency in accounting software (e.g., Xero, MYOB) and advanced skills in Excel or financial modelling tools.
Familiarity with Australian Taxation Office (ATO) compliance and reporting requirements.
Registration or licensing for auditing is a plus.
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, exceptional attention to detail, and the ability to communicate financial concepts effectively to diverse stakeholders.
