An important part of the Accountant's role is to support the proper treatment for business transactions for KGF AU's Head Office functions and bringing together trading performance results for EOM Close processes.This role is part of the accounting stream reporting to the KGF AU Group Accounting Team Leader. The role is critical in assisting closing end of month accounts, driving the end of month calendar to completion, custodian of monthly P&L meetings across the business, business partnering on selected cost centre reporting to track expenditure and improve legacy processes and systems for automation and modernisation.The accountant role is a business facing position suited to an accountant with an aptitude for and interest in numbers, maths, business and production processes, as well as support in alignment of the consolidated group for the Australian Operations management results.ABOUT YOUYou will be responsible for:End of month close and reporting.Monthly preparation and clearing of balance sheet reconciliations and reviews pre-end of month close.Holding end of month pre and post meetings for continuous improvement to show stepped improvement in month end processing tasks.Assist with year-end audit and reporting.Assist in the annual budgeting and monthly forecasting preparation, using actuals and year to go forecasts to extrapolate for the following year in conjunction with FP&A within Finance.Distribution of internal reports as per requirements.Continuous improvement on efficiencies in financial end of month process, transactional processing, and reporting.Business partnering with functional representatives included in the cost centre reviews to develop supplementary information that support actual performance each month.Any other ad hoc tasks as directed by the KGF AU Group Accounting Team Leader.TO BE SUCCESSFULYou will bring with you:Experience in a large organisation handling intercompany transactions.Ideally some experience in a manufacturing environment.Experience using an ERP system for financial management - we use Microsoft Dynamics 365.Experience using Power BI.Attention to detail and commercial acumen.Qualifications required:Formal financial qualifications such as a Bachelor of Commerce (Accounting Major).BENEFITSFull Time, secure, stable work.Live and work on the beautiful Sunshine Coast.Access to discounted premium meat.An organisation where cultural diversity is celebrated.Access to discounted health insurance.Head Office corporate work environment.This is a long-term career opportunity, working for an enterprise business with Corporate Offices on the Sunshine Coast in Queensland.
