About The Role We are seeking a detail-oriented Accountant to support our Financial Accountant and contribute to the accuracy and integrity of WAPHA's financial records.
This role is responsible for preparing monthly financial reports, performing balance sheet reconciliations, and ensuring compliance with tax laws.
You will work closely with the Finance team to assist in audits, manage fixed assets, and support the organisation's financial health through accurate reporting and analysis.
We are recruiting for a full time, two year maximum term contract. Key Responsibilities Support the Financial Accountant in month-end financial processes, including journal entries and reconciliations.Prepare and maintain monthly balance sheet reconciliations and fixed asset records.Coordinate the preparation of Business Activity Statements (BAS) and Fringe Benefits Tax (FBT) reports.Assist in internal and external audits by providing documentation and explanations.Prepare monthly cash flow reports and support budget updates.Collaborate with the Payroll team to ensure accurate processing of payroll journal entries and provisions.Provide troubleshooting support and enhancements for finance-related tasks on Aspire. About You You are a proactive and organised Accountant with a strong understanding of financial principles and tax compliance.
You have experience in preparing financial reports, managing reconciliations, and supporting audits.
You're an excellent communicator, able to collaborate with multiple teams, and are committed to maintaining high standards of accuracy.
You Will Need: Newly qualified CPA or CA, or working towards either qualification.Strong communication skills, both written and verbal.Experience with Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) systems such as Oracle, SAP, or Microsoft.Ability to work effectively across all levels of an organisation.Proven ability to establish and maintain strong relationships with stakeholders.
