Job DescriptionGERALDTON REGIONAL ABORIGINAL MEDICAL SERVICE Geraldton, WA, 6530 Accountant Salary $75k - $95k pa Full-time Mission: GERALDTON REGIONAL ABORIGINAL MEDICAL SERVICE (GRAMS) is dedicated to providing high-quality and progressive health care to Aboriginal people.
Position Purpose: The Accounts Officer, in collaboration with the Finance Manager, ensures the accuracy and efficiency of financial operations.
This role involves processing and monitoring payments, verifying receipts, and ensuring timely transactions.
The position requires maintaining and balancing ledger accounts monthly while upholding GRAMS standards in Equal Employment Opportunity, Work Health & Safety, and Confidentiality.
Key Responsibilities: Process and match invoices with purchase orders.Verify payments, handle bank reconciliations, and maintain creditor payments.Work with the Finance Manager on BAS, prepare staff travel allowances, and maintain the FA Register.Participate in professional development and contribute to GRAMS' quality improvement activities.Key Relationships: Liaises with government agencies, stakeholder groups, and the community.Maintains strong internal relationships with GRAMS team members and Aboriginal community members.Competencies: Bachelor's degree or higher preferred.Proven experience in a similar role, environment and familiarity with computerized financial systems.Strong communication skills, attention to detail, and ability to work independently or as part of a team.Knowledge of Aboriginal culture and experience with Xero/Attache software is desirable.Requirements: Current Police Clearance, Working with Children Clearance, and a valid driver's license. #J-18808-Ljbffr
