Key Responsibilities: Manage end-to-end financial processes, including accounts payable, receivable, and payroll. Preparation of accurate and timely financial reports, including profit and loss statements, balance sheets, and cash flow forecasts. Maintain and oversee the general ledger, ensuring all entries are accurate and compliant. Ensure compliance with all relevant obligations (GST, PAYG, Superannuation etc.) via overseeing Super, IAS & BAS lodgements. Assist with month-end and year-end closing processes which would include reviewing financial data to advise on company performance improvements. Liaise with external auditors, tax advisors, and financial institutions to continually optimise both our tax position and capital structure to deliver ROI improvement. Contribute to the decision making for and preparation of budgets and financial forecasting as well as building and improving existing financial models. Analyse commercial opportunities and build business cases to present to the Company Directors for review and approval. Identify opportunities for process improvement and contribute to automation initiatives. About You: Degree in Accounting & Finance. CA qualification (or working towards it) is highly regarded. 5+ years of experience in a similar role, preferably in a high growth social enterprise space or would also suit an individual with a desire for a move from an accounting firm to the private sector. Strong knowledge of accounting principles and relevant financial regulations. Proficiency in accounting software (e.g., Xero, MYOB, QuickBooks) and experience with ERP's would be beneficial. Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and organisational skills. High attention to detail and accuracy in financial reporting. Strong communication skills, with the ability to liaise effectively with both finance and non-finance team members as well as external parties. A proactive, hands-on attitude, with a passion for process improvement. Entrepreneurial in nature, ambitious and values diligence and initiative.
