Accountant - Fixed Asset

As a Fixed Assets Accountant, you will be responsible for managing the accounting and reporting processes from Capital Work in Progress through to the final asset closure. Working for a US-listed company, you will need to have a strong understanding of US GAAP reporting requirements, as well as compliance with both US and Australian tax regulations.You will need to take full responsibility for the fixed assets management along with a strong customer focus in order to meet strict deadlines.ResponsibilitiesTake full ownership for Capex Budget spending process and assure SOX complianceLiaise with different business managers to resolve issuesManage the Month end Fixed Assets close process for AU and NZ - Perform month end tasks, including Asset Additions, Disposals, Transfers, Depreciation and preparation of GL JournalLead the fixed assets capitalisation process while ensuring that US GAAP reporting and UA/US tax compliance is maintainedPrepare Balance sheet reconciliation, including capital work in progress (CWIP)Contribute to continual development of and compliance to the internal control environment and risk management process under the SOX frameworkPartner with a range of stakeholders throughout the supply chain process, retail network, operations, merchandising and marketing teams.Assist the finance management team with ad hoc projects and perform other duties as requiredCandidate ProfileAbility to work in a fast-paced, deadline-oriented environment, you will need to have excellent communication skills in order to maintain a close relationship with other members of the team. Experience with using ORACLE, US GAAP, SOX compliance and IFRS is desirable.Looking for someone who is CA or CPA qualified with a Bachelor's degree in Accounting and someone who can problem solve on the go.This is a great opportunity for someone who is looking to join a global organisation and be part of a stable team with a great team environment.
