You will bring understanding and insights related to culture, the client's business, the market landscape, brand strategy and importantly, the consumer.
The right Account Planner for this position is up on the latest marketing trends, including digital, search, social media, traditional media, and content marketing and is skilled at interpreting research and data to inform and optimise marketing solutions. We are looking for fluency and experience in developing communications strategies for an integrated marketing approach.
We are seeking a critical thinker who respects process but is not afraid to make the best recommendation for the client and agency, even if it breaks the mould.
The energy and confidence brought to the Account Planner position is as important as the experience and skill set. The ability to present to a room full of clients, brief a creative team, and navigate the occasional tough conversation is critical. As an Account Planner at The Mark Agency, you will act be the voice of your client's customer as you represent them throughout the creative process. More specifically, you'll get to: Utilise your strategic, critical thinking and researching skills to tune-in the voices of your client's consumers and prospective buyers.Unlock important consumer insights by performing market analysis and competitive research.Find what motivates consumers to first try a product or service and what triggers them to eventually buy it.Drive the overall strategic direction of creative campaigns.Ensure that the creative team's work is focused strategically and is within brand guidelines.Function as a liaison between the Account Managers and the creative and digital department.Create content that is compelling that persuasively communicates the right message to the right audience.Responsibilities: Provides valuable customer and marketing insight regarding trends, behavioural shifts, attitudinal dynamics of clients' marketplace to account management and creative.Lead the creation of all brand and creative briefs.Works with creative team to ensure brief leads to the development of a well-targeted creative concept; work is on brand and on brief.Develops and persuasively communicates brand/positioning/consumer perception portions of communications plans.Monitors overall timeframes and deliverable milestones for research projects, planning components etc. to deliver according to client expectations.Clearly communicates thoughts and ideas, demonstrates poise, intellect, accessibility, professionalism and commitment.Demonstrates good listening skills, fostering an environment of professional commitment and mutual trust.Communicates upstream and downstream in a manner that is timely, respectful, productive and supports overall project goals.Effectively manages time to provide access and availability to clients' and cross departmental teams when needed, as well as to be available for key client meetings.Co-manages client with Account Manager maintaining and upselling existing accounts.Mentoring intern candidates as part of The Mark Agency's Internship program.Culture & Lifestyle We're based in thriving Braddon in the heart of Lonsdale St. Our open-plan office layout promotes collaboration, conversation and teamwork to drive results.
