We are currently offering a great opportunity for a driven
Account Manager Agronomy
to join our team in Moree NSW. The focus of your role will be to develop strong customer relationships in this major agricultural region in Northern NSW and play an instrumental role in the biggest cotton and broadacre farming region in Australia.
About the opportunity:
Reporting into the Branch Manager and joining a high-performing and passionate team. You will provide agronomic and technical support to our farmers and producers in the region, with product sales both in store and on farm. In addition, you will:
Gain exposure to an agriculture area with winter, summer, broadacre and irrigation crops with primary crops in the Moree district being cotton, sorgum, wheat, barley, chickpeas and favor beans to name a few.
Engage and work alongside a team within an established business, servicing the needs of cutting-edge farmers and who have significant experience partnering with producers.
Be responsible for increasing the productivity, profitability, and sustainability of farming enterprises.
Build solid and long-term client relationships, and develop a strong understanding of the clients' business goals and share technical and market information to enable clients to improve the performance and sustainability of their farming enterprises.
Maintain relationships with the healthy list of existing customers, with room to target new clients through the provision of superior sales and agronomic input.
Stay up to date with the latest plant production practices together with running and coordinating field days and farmer meetings.
About you:
Strong technical knowledge in agronomic practices and application.
You will have a minimum of 4-5 years building enduring and successful partnerships with customers, delivering appropriate agronomic advice and service.
History of success in executing sales outcomes using your specialist knowledge of fertiliser, seed and chemical products and application applicable to those crops grown in the region.
You will demonstrate excellent negotiation, influencing, and communication skills.
A tertiary qualification in agricultural science or a related field and a current driver's license is essential.
Your experience in an agronomic advisory role related to agricultural chemicals and fertiliser will secure this rewarding role.
