We are currently offering a great opportunity for a driven Senior Account Manager Agronomy to join our team in Biloela. The focus of your role will be to develop strong customer relationships in this major agricultural region in Queensland.
About the opportunity: Reporting into the Branch Manager and joining a high-performing and passionate team. You will provide agronomic and technical support to our farmers and producers in the region, with product sales both in store and on farm. In addition, you will:
Gain exposure to an agriculture area where a diverse range of irrigated and dryland field crops are grown, including sorghum, cotton, sunflowers, wheat, chickpeas, and mung beans.Engage and work alongside a team within an established business, servicing the needs of cutting-edge farmers who have significant experience partnering with producers.Be responsible for increasing the productivity, profitability, and sustainability of farming enterprises.Build solid and long-term client relationships, developing a strong understanding of the clients' business goals and sharing technical and market information to enable clients to improve the performance and sustainability of their farming enterprises.Maintain relationships with a healthy list of existing customers, with room to target new clients through the provision of superior sales and agronomic input.Stay up to date with the latest plant production practices, and coordinate field days and farmer meetings.About you: Strong technical knowledge in agronomic practices and application.Experience building enduring and successful partnerships with customers, delivering appropriate agronomic advice and service.History of success in executing sales outcomes using specialist knowledge of fertiliser, seed, and chemical products applicable to crops grown in the region.Excellent negotiation, influencing, and communication skills.A tertiary qualification in agricultural science or a related field and a current driver's license is essential.Experience in an agronomic advisory role related to agricultural chemicals and fertiliser will secure this rewarding role.Why work for us?
