What you will be doing: Ensure the clean and orderly appearance of the Hotel at all times by effective planning, management and supervision Manage an effective preventative maintenance/cleaning schedule and maintain excellent communication and partnership with the engineering department Select, lead, train, recognize and reward the team of Housekeeping Leaders and Colleagues, positively impacting both colleague and guest satisfaction Ensure high morale and productivity levels through staff planning, training and development, and monthly departmental meetings Ensure new employees are trained in the correct methods of cleaning and the proper use of housekeeping equipment and to ensure that said equipment is available and properly maintained. Oversee administration and management of all Housekeeping operations including scheduling, payroll, supply and inventory control. Maintain an effective and consistent quality inspection program Ensure that necessary resources and functional tools/equipment including linen are readily available to team Effective forecasting, scheduling, vacation planning and department productivity results to budget Responsible for executing departmental capital plans Follow-through on accommodation related V.O.G. responses Evaluate, develop and monitor departmental Health & Safety initiatives to ensure a safe working environment is maintained at all times and that employees are committed to working safely including WSBC and WHMIS training programs. Ensure annual performance reviews are conducted for all colleagues/leaders. Other duties as assigned Qualifications
Your experience and skills include: Three to Five years previous Rooms Management experience Proven track record to successfully lead and motivate colleagues Must be highly organized, energetic and possess the ability to get the job done Strong administration and organizational skills Excellent communication skills, both written and oral.
